The idea was from Nitesh’s Blog, but the basic reason was lying in the fact that we all newbie, amateur techies like to talk about their mahines and funny is that …. No body listens :)

So, it might be a way to make them listen, after all, its my place. I am the BOSS here


My Current Desktop PC

This was an assembled one, assembled somewhere around October 2008. I bought the parts from local Laxmi Nagar Shop Sparknet. Here are the configuration.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 @2.2 GHz
RAM: 2×1 GB DDR2 RAM
Monitor: CHIMEI 22” LCD screen
Video Memory: NVidia GeForce 8600 GT 512 MB
HDD: 500 GB Sata+250 GB Sata+250 GB IDE
External HDD: 1000 GB USB Drive
DVD-RW: Sony DVD-RW
Motherboard: Asus S-Series


My Current Laptop

I bought it in June 2009 from a local dealer in Laxmi Nagar.

Model: Compaq CQ-60 209TU
Processor: 2.16 GHz Dual Core T3400
RAM: 2 GB DDR2
Monitor: 15.6”
HDD: 250 GB HDD
External HDD: 500 GB USB Drive

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz T8300 3MB L2 Cache
RAM: 4GB DDR2 (2×2)
HDD: 320 GB 7200 RPM
Video Memory: nVIDIA 8600 GT 256 MB
Monitor: 15′’ (1280×1024)


My Old Desktop PC

The one with which I was started was bought in September 2002 from Tritech Enterprises, Allahabad. It was an assembled and economic one and like everyone says about their first computer, it went lovely most of the times.

I am putting here the last configuration as it undergone lots of changes like additions of a few CD-RWs and DVD-RWs, HDDs and Monitor-to-LCD Transitions.

Processor: Intel PIV 1.7GHz
RAM: 256 SDRAM
Monitor: Samsung 15” LCD screen
HDD: 120 GB IDE
DVD-RW: Sony DVD-RW
Motherboard: Intel 845 GLLAD

  2. WSUS Issues. Thanks for the info on your blog, but I’m stll having problems deploying patches to my test domain. Within the database the patches are in he contents folder, but stil won’t deploy.

    Can you point me in the right direction!!
