Thanks @Nokia, never imagined that I would be part of world’s biggest #FF ever

In last few years, we seen the internet world moving from IM/Chat rooms to blogs, then to social networks and finally micro-blogging world like twitter. We seen the rise and fall of many brands and also the growing fanboyism from loyalists toward them. We seen brands going for their audiences via print media, TV media, digital media and via words of mouth.

Lots of things got changed in these years and we seen lots of changes in the way, brands interact with their loyalists. But last Friday, July 01, 2011, something happened, something such big that no one would have ever imagined. At least, I never imagined anything like that will ever happen to me.

It was May 14, 2011 when we last seen Gravity getting updated and now its June 29, 2011. A kind of long period if we compare last few releases before this one. There been lots of expectations from the new build that what surprises @janole will bring this time, though many of the users are not aware of the same, but third party twitter client developers going through a nightmarish time nowadays. The people who are a little aware of the tech and legal things, should check the changed twitter guidelines (last updated June 01, 2011) to see that how strict those have became now.

Layman’s take on Nokia E6-How Symbian^3 fits into portrait?

Symbian^3 T9 sucks? Try Baidu Portrait QWERTY, English/ Hindi

Update: For people, who faced issue of not opening up any keyboard after install, I have updated the link now, try this link in place of last one and follow the same instructions. 

This app is not new and was reported by Jay and Asri-Al-Baker earlier, but the interest I received on twitter after mentioning about it made me think that no many knew about it. So thought to bring it as a post for all of you.

If you been following me on blog or twitter, then you might already be aware that how irritating Symbian^3 T9 input been for me. This was one of the biggest reason that I was most excited when @janole decided to bring portrait QWERTY to Gravity.

Thanks to @HardikLive for almost pushing me to try the Baidu Input again otherwise I was permanently away from it after trying the last version that was a mess for me. Let’s see what is Baidu?

Laymans take on Nokia E7-BIG overview from a Nokia N8 user

Its been quite a while now, since I had Nokia E7-00 in my hands (Thanks to awesome people at Womworld/Nokia) and I was intentionally delaying the post till now as wished to start the review only after getting used to it in real life terms. So, after around 2 weeks, this is the right time.

Nokia E7-00: The box

The another blue box and by putting Nokia N8’s box (on the left in picture) in side, I am already clarifying that the whole review will keep the Nokia N8 experience in mind. A perspective that most of you wished to listen.

While this time, the box is smaller on horizontal scale than already small Nokia N8 box, it’s a bit thicker. Also in place of dark and elegant engraving like Nokia N8\ Nokia N900, Nokia chosen the colorful ways to show off the feature that makes the difference, the HW QWERTY.

Magic! Gravity build 6757 bring name substring search for Autocomplete

This is never a coincidence, never been .. whenever.. consistently whenever Symbian fans felt down .. there was always a name Gravity that always strikes back to bring the confidence in Symbian… to bring the confidence that there is still something that we lead into. Yes! anyone can guess that what I am talking about … yes! Gravity got a new update and this time, this is sure worth talking about.

Finally, @janole recently has started delivering in-app updates about which he has been shy in past due to piracy issues and so rather than looking at the blog posts, users can directly get the latest version from gravity from Gravity itself. And yes, a short change log is also there as follows:

Layman’s take on Samsung Galaxy S (Part 3): Multimedia, Camera, Browser and Android Market

Before I start this part of the review, I’d yet again want to thank you all for appreciating the last post whole heartedly. Especially when I hear that you like the layman-ish take of the review, it indeed feels good and is a big compliment to the blog itself. Thanks again and keep supporting like this.

The 3D Photo Gallery of Android is really impressive. There’s so much in it that I could even write a full post about it. Picasa integration, effortless sharing (not only with the services but with various apps as well) are some of those features which make the Android Gallery stand apart from other platforms.

How cool and fluid this interface feels like just can’t be put in words, and it can only be felt by using it with your fingers. As I couldn’t  make a video myself, I’ve just added one from the web. (not from my Galaxy S).
