This was something I wanted to do since long, but messy office life been too harsh over me to get some extended holidays for such snapping around, I did some of the shots in past like this one, but here comes @pannkaz to prove me that its all my laziness for not showcasing the biggest ornament of our almighty Symbian^3 jewel Nokia N8.

Note that these are just some casual shots not from some expert one. The details and colors show that it doesn’t take a DSLR only for enabling one to preserve the best of memories. It also asks one simple but very relevant question from everyone that do we really need those digital cameras any more or will they die like pagers and digital diary kind of gadgets died in front of mobiles.

We all love nature photography like this one, but when the moment come, we find ourselves setting up the lenses etc. Nokia N8 likes really change this game where you just take a second to snap one.

Update: Thanks for the response guys since the night I posted. Couldn’t resist to add two more of them.

Tell me, isn’t this a wallpaper material? I bet some of your even might have started planning to visit the place like me.

I love the blue sky there. Check out more here

Let’s hear it from @pannaz himself

After long tiring months at work, I finally decided to take a break and decided to go on a short vacation trip with my family and friends. After searching for such places nearby to my hometown Delhi, shortlisted LansDowne, one of the quietest hill stations in India. ince I have recently got N8, but didn’t got any chance to test its capabilities, I decided to take only N8 as camera for my vacation. In my corner on my heart I was still afraid that I may fail in this decision of mine, but then I reminded that my friends are carrying there Point and Shoot cameras and I can use them as the backup.

But the end result was shocking and awesome for me and my friends as well. The pics taken from N8 are really awesome and great and even better than the Point and shoot cameras my friends were carrying. Even they were all praise for the camera on N8. The details and colors rendered by N8 are really lovely and great.

Here is one of my most favourite pic.

I dont know about others, but for me N8 has completely replaced my point and shoot camera. Thanks Nokia for putting such a wonderful camera on a phone.

Here is the full flickr set
Tell me what you think.

So, this was @pannkaz and his Nokia N8 shots, please tell what you think of these and also tell if you really started thinking that you will be needed to buy any digital camera any more?

  1. I got my black gray N8 2 months back, hoping to get rid of my point and shoot canon, initially it was good, i used to get red rectangle in the middle of the screen occasionally, but as time passed it became more common to get red rectangle in place of the green, showing that the camera was not focussing properly, around a week back it was 1 in 20 times that the camera was making the accurate focus, otherwise 19 times it was out of focus, and the images were blurred. Tried resetting camera, soft and hard reset phone, no avail, went to nokia care, was told that it was a hardware problem, they would need to send it to higher centre, it may need to be replaced, will take 15 to 20 days, and i will be without my set for this much time. Suddenly all the theories of N8 defective handsets started looking real. What if the second handset also goes kapoot after sometime. should i sell it off, suggest me an alternate good smartphone, i am loosing my faith in Nokia

    1. Don’t be panic mate. It happens sometimes.

I had a Nokia N82 that remained with Nokia Care for a month but still that one served me in excellent ways for more than three years before Nokia N8.

Have patience and wait for Nokia N8 to come back from Nokia Care and post us some lovely pics like this.

      All the best

  2. hi,
i have been using the N8 to shoot pictures.. but i have observed that indoor images and night shot both are turning out to be hazzy even with the flash on and plenty of light inside the house….

i have still not removed the plastic cover that came on the camera since the day i got it.. can that be a issue?

anyone with decent/good camera skills on the N8 please reply
